Breakthrough
Central New York seeks the broadest possible citizen
participation and leadership in aligning
and
transforming our region for an extraordinary future. The Breakthrough
Leadership Workshop
is
a cornerstone of that initiative.
The
workshop will be conducted by Landmark Education Business Development, Inc. (LEBD)
(now Vanto Group)
for
BreakthroughCNY in association with
Oneida County Communities That Care.
This
four-day program will be led by LEBD Senior Consultant Herma
Schmitz.
The
purpose of the workshop is to energize and significantly impact participants in
their capacity and ability
to
lead. It is designed to transform who they are in their community, the way they
approach their community,
and
bring about a fundamental shift in what they see as possible.
The
workshop is for everyone from every walk of life who wants to discover the
leader that is within them,
wants
to extend their reach or exercise their influence.
Workshop
participants will step outside familiar frameworks, will identify old habits,
entrenched behaviors,
and
unexamined assumptions, and will explore new perspectives and new ways to see,
act, and relate to others.
They
will learn to rise above and bypass adversarial resistance to change, and will
witness breakthroughs
as
a whole new vision of what is possible begins to emerge. They will strengthen their
knowledge and skill
in
shaping the future of our region through the power of conversation and the
alignment of individuals, groups, and communities.
