THE WANDELL SCULPTURE
GARDEN at Meadowbrook Park in Urbana Illinois is now the
home for "Fathers and Sons".
With the addition of 6 new sculptures from Chicago's "Pierwalk '99"
in early November, 1999
the Wandell Sculpture Garden hosts over 15 monumental sculptures in a
delightful natual setting. "Fathers and Sons" is now part of the
sculpture garden's permanent collection. |

The colors of the piece change as one walks
around it and as the sun moves around the piece as well. The
bright sun creates moving shadows, while an overcast sky reveals more
clearly the
interior figures.

A paved path runs beside McCoullough
Creek and "Fathers and Sons" which carries joggers,
skateboarders, rollar bladers, cyclists and walkers into the landscape
of prarie grasses, wildflowers, wildlife viewing areas and a variety of
contempory sculpture. Across the creek is a wonderful playground
which is based on the ideas submitted by local children. |
